Congolese Deputy Premier Isdore Mvouba described on Sunday as a historic event the Cairo Economic Development Conference, currently in session here.
Speaking to MENA after meeting with Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, he said he handed him a message from the Congolese president to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
He said it is a message of friendship that focuses on deeply-rooted relations binding the two countries, especially at the diplomatic level.
He underlined the importance of boosting economic cooperation, especially as the two countries have a lot of potentials that can help them hit this target.
He said all African countries are happy that Egypt restored its pioneering role in the region, saying "Egypt without Africa is not Egypt and Africa without Egypt is not Africa".
