Chairman of Egyptian Airports Company (EAC) Adel Mahgoub said on Tuesday that airports of Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, and Taba will be on standby to receive excess planes boarding delegates participating in the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) scheduled to kick off on Friday.
Technical and security teams are to be deployed to help flights movement in the additional airports if need arises, Mahgoub said.
The measurement is part of a plan to facilitate expected intense activity in Sharm El Sheikh during the economic summit.
The official has also noted coordination with various bodies to facilitate flight movement during the conference.
