Israeli bulldozers demolished a Muslim chapel made of tin sheets in Al-Musrara neighborhood opposite to Damascus Gate in Jerusalem at dawn Monday.
Escorting a bulldozer and a forklift truck, large Israeli police and special forces cordoned off the Muslim chapel, known as the Prophets Chapel, preventing locals from approaching.
The chapel was set up by Palestinian traders and public bus drivers who needed a chapel where they can perform their prayers.
Meanwhile, dozens of armed Israeli settlers accompanied by soldiers stormed the neighborhood of Jabal Johar in Hebron’s Old City area, according to security sources.
The Israeli soldiers also raided several homes in nearby Shuhadaa Street area, also in Hebron’s Old City, and sabotaged their furniture.
In Bethlehem, the Israeli forces stormed several towns district, checking and seizing the surveillance cameras of a number of Palestinian-owned commercial shops and homes.
The Israeli occupation forces detained Monday 15 Palestinians from across the West Bank districts, including Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
In the meantime, the Israeli naval boats attacked a number of Palestinian fishing boats with live gunfire offshore the northwest of Gaza city, causing financial damages to at least one boat. The fishermen were forced to return back to shore for fear of being detained, injured, or killed.
