Israeli troops assaulted an elderly woman and her son and grandson in Hebron’s old city.
Palestinian security sources told WAFA news agency on Saturday that the soldiers broke into the residence of Fatima Natsheh, 70, in the old city and assaulted her and her son, Hasan, 35, and grandson, Falah, 23, with their gun butts causing them injuries that required treatment in hospital.
Soldiers in the old city of Hebron and surrounding areas known as H2, which is under full Israeli military control where several hundred hardcore Jewish settlers live among around 15,000 Palestinians, regularly assault Palestinians living in that area for no apparent reason.
Dozens of young Palestinians were also shot and killed inside that enclave after settlers or soldiers alleged they tried to attack them.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops stationed at watch towers along the borders with the Gaza Strip opened fire at Palestinian farmers working on their land near the border fence on Saturday.
They said the soldiers fired a round of bullets at the farmers forcing them to leave the area. No injuries were reported.
Gaza farmers say the soldiers prevent them from working on their land near the fence, which Israel had unilaterally declared as a buffer zone off to Palestinians stretching more than 300 meters inside the already narrow Gaza Strip.
