Tunisian authorities have decided Thursday morning to reopen the border post of Ras Jedir on the Tunisian side after the Libyan government installed a specialised structure on their side. "In spite of the reopening of this border post since this morning, no activity has been recorded so far in both ways," security sources told TAP news agency. "Libya's authorities are finalising the setting up of mechanisms that will allow to suitably manage the border post, including a computer system," the same sources added. The Ras Jedir crossing post has been closed for two weeks on the Tunisian side after the deterioration of security at this frontier area and the infiltration of Libyan armed groups into Tunisia.
