US Secretary of State John Kerry said today that the two-state solution for Israel and Palestinian was the only way possible to establish a fair and permanent peace between the two sides.
He warned however, in a speech on the Obama administration's views on the Middle-East, that the two-state solution was in "serious jeopardy." Kerry added that the United States did not veto a UN resolution condemning Israeli settlements to pass last week in an effort to save the two-state solution.
The secretary of state said trends on the ground between Israel and the Palestinian Territories - including terrorist attacks, growing numbers of settlements and a "seemingly endless occupation" were "cementing an irreversible one-state reality."
