Egyptian high-profile footballer of Al Ahly Mahmoud Al Khateeb left Cairo on early Friday heading to Morocco to support the Egyptian team during the coming match against Moroccan team of Wydad Casablanca scheduled to be held on Saturday.
The Egyptian football legend received a phone call from Egypt’s Ambassador to Cairo to express his appreciation to the player who is keen to attend the final match and to support his team during the final round of African Champions League. The Egyptian diplomat revealed that the player will be received in the headquarters of the Egyptian embassy in Rabat.
Al-Khatib thanked the Egyptian Ambassador for his great interest and expressed his full appreciation for the distinguished diplomatic role of the Egyptian Embassy in Morocco, headed by Ambassador Ashraf Ibrahim. Khatib said that his travel to Morocco to emphasize that the sons of Ahli in such positions are united in favor of the entity.
The player, on his hand, stressed that the major teams are often exposed to difficult situations in major tournaments and Al Ahly in his honorable history and achievements and championships witnessed a large number of such circumstances before and managed to overcome them.
He stressed his confidence in the players of the Egyptian team and their technical skills to achieve a positive result guaranteed them to return the cup especially that they have the capabilities and high potential to make the members and fans of Ahly happy.
