Egyptian footballer Ayman Ashraf of Smouha football team denied what was published over his transfer to Ahly, saying that the negotiations are still underway. He added that he has not signed any contracts with Ahly, expressing his respect to his current team.
He added that he decided to delay signing the contract with Ahly’s official due to his increasing respect to Smouha and its officials, saying that he will exert his efforts to serve his current team until his last day inside the club.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that he prefers to join Ahly, saying that he received a similar offer from Zamalek during the recent months, while the negotiations have been suspended. He stressed that he will face intensive competition inside Ahly to ensure his place in the starting lineup due to the presence of a number of efficient players in his position.
He expressed his keenness to join Egypt’s national team as soon as possible, saying that he was close to join his country’s team before the recent African Cup of Nations held in Gabon. He called the officials of Egypt’s football to work together during the coming period to resolve the problems.
