Egyptian footballer Amr Warda decided to donate to the families of the victims of the explosions that hit both St. George Church of Tanta and St. Mark Church of Alexandria which coincided with the Coptic celebrations of Palm Sunday.
The player’s agent Mamdouh Eid revealed, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that the player was aspiring to participate positively in the crisis, stressing his solidarity with the families of the victims through donating to them. He stressed the need for supporting the national unity against terrorism.
He added that the player did not want to announce what he did for the families of martyrs, while he took the decision to announce to be an example for the other people. He added that the player of Egypt’s national team wanted to deliver a clear message to the Egyptian people, stressing the need for unifying the Egyptian people against those criminals.
