Egypt's team striker Mahmoud Trezeguet, stressed that what is achieved by the Egyptian team in the African Nations Cup is the beginning for this generation of players on the African continent.
The Egyptian player said, in a statement for Arabs Today, that the current generation are young players and they have a long future with the team, as well as they are able to achieve the aspirations of Egyptian fans.
"We will strive to achieve tournaments in the African continent and qualify for the next World Cup," he added.
Trezeguet indicated that qualifying for the final match in the African Cup of Nations is not a surprise, pointing out they prepared for this tournament in the last period, and the coaching staff worked on competing for the title of Africa.
From the first day, the coach confirms that he will compete for the title but he is not promise to win it, he stated.
Concerning the Africans competitors, Trezeguet said that there are strong teams in Africa and the competition will be fierce, especially with Senegal, Cameroon and Burkina Faso, as well as the Arab teams, which seek to restore confidence, but I am confident that the future will be for the Egyptian national team in Africa.
For his return to the Egyptian league and Al Ahly Club, he stressed that this step is completely beyond of his calculations, and he will continue his career outside Egypt, and the return at this age would be tantamount to failure for him.
