Captain of Moroccan national team Mubarak Bousofa stressed his ability to resume his role as a football player although he is 33 years old. He said, "I am still able to perform well as a football player. The matter is not measured by the age, while the ability to perform inside the pitch."
He added, in a statement to "Arabs Today", that he aspires to push his national team forward during the qualifying round for the World Cup scheduled to be held in Russia in 2018. I hope to participate to make the Moroccan people pleased after years of absence from the international football events. I will exert my efforts to keep my performance during the coming period and to participate in the World Cup."
He expressed his satisfaction over his performance during the current period, saying that he performed a major role during the match against Tunisian national team. He added that his coach praised his performance during the match, praising the team's performance before both Tunisia and Burkina Faso.
He expressed respect to the decision taken by Al Mahdy Bin Attiya to retire, stressing that he suffers from critical conditions and they should respect his decision. He stressed that the player would meet the demands of the national team, if it needed him.
