Two people were killed and 13 others injured in a traffic accident in central Thailand on Sunday, according to local media.
The accident happened at around 5 a.m. local time when a chartered van carrying Myanmar passengers slammed into a truck in the central province of Kamphaengphet, Thairath newspaper said.
Two Myanmar passengers were found dead on the scene; the rest were rushed to hospital, three being in serious condition.
Initial investigation showed that the Myanmar passengers had jointly chartered the van on Saturday to return home. When they were heading to Thailand-Myanmar border, a big sound was heard, but they did not know what happened.
Police suspected the van driver was falling asleep when the accident happened.
Further investigation is underway.
Fatigue driving has been the main killer in most of Thailand's road accidents over the past years. In January, a passenger van crashed into a truck and burst into flames, killing 25.
