Four people were killed and 21 others injured when renewed clashes erupted in Garabulli city in eastern Libya between rival militias.
"The clashes in Garabulli city killed three people and injured six others on Sunday, while one person was killed and 15 others injured on Monday," the ministry of health said on Facebook.
The clashes broke out between militias allied with the UN-backed government of national accord in Tripoli and militias loyal to the deposed government of national salvation that is attempting to take control of the capital.
Residents of Garabulli, some 50 km east Tripoli, had to flee their homes to avoid the violence and were unable to return to their homes, witnesses said.
Libya suffers escalating violence and insecurity, as well as political division despite signing a UN-sponsored peace agreement and appointing the unity government.
