Turkish security forces have killed more than 7,000 members of the armed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) since a ceasefire with the group broke down in July 2015, Turkey's defence minister said Monday.
Defence Minister Fikri Isik said authorities also detained 3,020 militants from the group, deemed a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States, according to the state-run Anadolu news agency.
