In a move that reflects the depth of relations between the two peoples of the U.A.E. and Saudi Arabia, Arabian Radio Network, ARN, the largest multiplatform radio network in the Middle East, and its FM radio station Al Khaleejiya 100.9, will collaborate with MBC FM, the Arabic language general entertainment radio channel, and part of the Middle East Broadcasting Centre, MBC, to present radio programmes to celebrate U.A.E.'s 43th National Day on the 2nd of December.
Mahmoud Al Rasheed, General Manager of ARN, said that sharing the airwaves with MBC FM to celebrate the U.A.E.'s 43rd National Day reflects the deep brotherly relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, and enhances the patriotic sentiments of the peoples of the two nations.
Al Rasheed added that Saudi MBC FM radio listeners will have the opportunity to contribute, get involved in the spirit of the celebrations, express their congratulations to the people of the U.A.E., via dedicated shows and live programmes that will broadcast on the day.
Ziad Hamza, Director of Audio and Music Office, MBC Group, said that the joint collaboration between broadcast media in the U.A.E. and Saudi Arabia is not surprising and is a natural decision, due to the similarities in the overall media outlook and vision of the two nations.
Mohammed Salem, Director of Programming of Al Khaleejiya FM, said that arrangements have been made with MBC FM management to link the two radio channels and share the same airwaves on December, 2nd.
"A team of radio presenters will be leading the joint radio programme called Your Glory, Our Glory, which will go live on air from 4pm to 6pm. Listeners will have the opportunity to speak on air, make phone calls, and express their well wishes to the U.A.E. and its people on the occasion of U.A.E.'s 43rd National Day," Salem said.
