Presenter of Layaly life Farah Farid Cairo - Al Sayed Khalaf Allah Farah Farid, the young presenter of Layaly life on Egypt’s Nile Life TV, said she expected there would be consequences for her hosting of a number of political figures opposing the Muslim Brotherhood group of ousted president Mohammed Morsi. Unfortunately being assaulted by a group of Islamist women was one of those consequences. In an interview with Arab Today, Farid says she was shocked to find a number of women following her and waiting for her in front of her home in Cairo’s October 6 area a few days ago. She said the women assaulted her and broke the windscreen of her car. According to Farid, she was attacked because of her position against the ousted president since she in the previous months had hosted a number of opposition members on her show going against an order from the previous information minister who belonged to the Muslim Brotherhood. Farid noted that the women who assaulted her seemed to be extremists since they all wore the Niqab (face veil) adding that she immediately filed a police report against the unknown attackers.
