Television journalist Fida Itani Beirut - Georges Chahine Television journalist Fida Itani is set to arrive in Beirut on Thursday night. The kidnapped Lebanese journalist entered the Turkish territory late on Wednesday night. A source revealed that some Syrian rebels refused to hand him over to the Turks. They allegedly demanded the presence of Lebanese officials, which is why Itani arrived with a seven-hour delay in Turkey. The Lebanese journalist said the Turkish authorities took time to hand him over to the Lebanese authorities. Itani said to the press that rebel Abu Ibrahim was still alive. Lebenase Interior Minister Marwan Charbel officially announced that Fida Itani was in Turkey because of a misunderstanding between the people in charge of communication from the rebel, Turkish and Lebanese side.
