Naguib Sawiris Cairo - Akram Ali Egyptian ONTV channel reports that it has received threats of abduction and death of some of its presenters, most notably Yousri Fouda, Reem Maged and Youssef el-Husseini, from an unknown group calling itself “al-Jihad li Tahreer al-Bilad” (Jihad to cleanse the country). It also threatened to target the installations of the channel. ONTV owner, Naguib Sawiris, posted on his Twitter account: “Dogs that bark do not bite.. Long live ONTV". The head of the channel Albert Shafik reported the incident officially to Dokki police station, saying that this group had sent a letter in which they ransom of EGP 20 million, or they kill the presenters. The message described the policy of the channel as "the policy of owls and crows, which aims to sabotage and create chaos in the country by implementing a Zionist agenda."
