Adel el-Quola speaks to Arabstoday exclusively Cairo - Ali Ragab Chairperson of Socialist Arab Party of Egypt, Adel el-Quola, said that the draft law of elections was submitted by the ruling Freedom and Justice Party, adding that the law aims to impede the opposition parties to be represented in Egypt’s parliament. Quola said that Muslim Brotherhood uses the law to prevent opposition parties from participating in the parliament. He added that according to the law, each political party should gain five percent of the right votes in each constituency, considering such conditions as a legal trick to exclude the opposition from the parliament. He added that the ruling group works to legislate a law to control the parties existed in Egypt’s parliament, demanding the National Salvation Front to realise the seriousness of such a law during the coming elections.
