Televisions can blend easily with other items
Televisions are ugly. When they're not turned on they're just big expanses of black that become ugly focal points in out rooms. But all is not lost; there are ways to minimize the visual impact they
have. Check out the following tips and learn how to hide a TV so you barely notice it's there.
How to Hide a TV On the Wall
If you have a flat-screen that's mounted on the wall there are a few things you can do. If you're up for it you can hang a wallpaper on the same wall that blends with the television. A black wallpaper with a pattern is a great option. And remember, if the wallpaper is just on one wall (a feature wall) it won't necessarily make the room dark.
Hang black and white photos in black frames all around the television. It will look like a photo feature wall and the impact of the television will be minimized.
On a Bookshelf or Console
Televisions that are sitting on bookshelves can blend in easily with other items. Surround the TV with books, art and other sculptural items and it will end up looking like another accessory.
The key is to surround the television with other items no matter where it is. If it's on a table or dresser add some other accessories around it. Put a vase of flowers on one side and a nice stack of decorative boxes on the other (or something to that effect).
