Director-General of Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), Amal Al Qubaisi, said President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been instrumental in enabling the UAE to attain its outstanding international stature and make progress and achieve prosperity for its citizens. "The unwavering support being extended by the leaders, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in particular, to all the members of the society and its public and private institutions, is a source of pride for a nation that aims to attain a place among the advanced nations in terms of progress, welfare and prosperity," said Al Qubaisi, hailing the UAE's leadership as successful, glorious and generous.
Al Qubaisi made these remarks in a statement after she won the Federal Personality Award from Abu Dhabi's Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR).
"Our wise leaders have instilled love of work and diligence in us and this is the secret to our success. Their unlimited support is what empowered the UAE citizens to achieve excellence in all spheres," she said, describing the award as "a crown" she proudly wears and thanking His Highness Sheikh Khalifa and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and President of the ECSSR.
The award, Al Qubaisi noted, is but a new honour for women in the UAE and a testament to their stature in political, social, economic and cultural spheres as well as their effective role in development where they have emerged as a role model in the Gulf region and other Arab countries.
