Established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Cares today praised its leader for facilitating positive change through education in both the UAE and developing countries around the world.
The philanthropic organization also stressed the importance of safety and security in fostering a productive environment for the youth of a nation.
Commenting on this occasion, Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Cares, said: "On the anniversary of his accession, we would like to congratulate and thank His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his inspiring leadership and generosity. Nations best flourish under visionary leaders, and as residents of the UAE, we feel exceedingly fortunate to be led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum." "Through his 'Thank You, Guardians of our Nation' initiative, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has underscored how essential safety and security is in creating an environment that boosts confidence and promotes ambition. In the UAE, our Armed Forces have played a monumental role in our growth and prosperity. The Guardians of Our Nation have ensured that our children have a stable and productive environment in which they can develop their talents through education and consequently achieve their goals. This in turn, has had a direct impact on the increasing dialogue and collaboration between the UAE and the international community, leading to peaceful and stable relations.' 'Inspired by this direction, Dubai Cares aims to promote the educational agenda in developing countries, protecting their imperative to a positive future through education. It is our hope that in the long-term, these advancements will help establish forward-thinking populations and self-sustaining economies essential to progressive and stable societies," Al Gurg concluded.
As an organization, Dubai Cares aims to provide children, regardless of religion, creed, nationality or gender with the skills necessary to realize their full potential. By providing children in developing countries with access to quality primary education, the organization is supporting and enabling these countries to achieve a consistent path towards socio-economic growth. To date, Dubai Cares has reached more than 10 million children in 35 developing countries.
