Designer Rawda Al Mehi
Cairo - Shimaa Mekaewy

Egyptian designer Rawda Al Mehi revealed that she prepared a new set of ornaments made from clay and precious stones on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.

She said, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, “As the roses became fashionable this year in clothes, bags and shoes, I decided to design different forms of ornaments depending on untraditional accessories, while it copes with the fashion.”

She said that have implemented three different designs, the first design is a complete set of Collier, bracelet and ring with pharaonic drawings. I wrote names of Hassan and Wafaa in hieroglyphics on two units.”

The second design, she said, is a youthful design designed from a natural leather, as she used nirzaburi turquoise stone with a pharaonic calligraphy ordained by Horus and the key to life. However, the third design is a rosary of agate stone with pendant in which she wrote the name of owner in hieroglyphics to be a good gift during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

She used the Islamic drawings of the Egyptian folklore to make a new design with cheerful colors and handmade Spring flowers with colors of the Islamic geometric drawings. The design is covered with gold leaves to give it that classy touch.

From the particular precision of the Roman statues ,she used this idea to decorate her 100% handmade design with irregular and different shapes ,yet united together ,making a very sophisticated design. She added that she is using her designs to make women from all over the world ,know different heritages through every piece ,and giving them the chance to feel like queens from different eras.
