Since her childhood, she was aspiring to storm the world of fashion, while she turned to study the international economy. However, she failed to resist her desire of honing her talent through joining one of the most important design schools in Morocco.
Moroccan designer Doha Tatebi said, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, that she has been interested in the world of fashion since her childhood, especially the Moroccan Caftan, saying that she was monitoring her mother’s keenness to keep the traditional style in her clothes.
She added that she was aspiring to resume studying this field in an international school of fashion, while her father refused, saying that she turned to resume studying the international economy to meet the desire of her father. She added that she managed to achieve her aspiration years later through studying a school for fashion design to storm the world of fashion.
She added that she participated in the Caftan Night organized by Moroccan Family Magazine, saying, “It made me proud to participate in this event, as the preparations for the event were enjoyable. I appreciate the organizers of the event and designers who presented wonderful work.”
Regarding her work, she said, “My designs are simple, as I always depend on silk fabrics decorated by gemstones and pearls to mix between the traditional style and modern approach of designation. I am always keen to keep the original form of Moroccan caftan.”
She added that the Moroccan heritage and especially of the city where she lives inspires her, stressing her keenness, saying that the nature of her city Red Marrakech inspires her to choose the colors of her designs.
She stressed that he works to achieve balance between her personal life with her family on one hand, and her work as a designer, stressing that her confidence that the Moroccan caftan will take a major place in the world of fashion. She signaled that a large number of world superstars were keen to choose the Moroccan caftan during their participation in international events.
