Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for supporting the Palestinian cause on all political, humanitarian and developmental levels.
He hailed the role of Bahrain Government and people in launching development projects in support of the Palestinian people, paying homage to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
The Palestinian leader was speaking as he received a Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) delegation led by Secretary-General Dr. Mustapha Al-Sayyed in Ramallah.
President Abbas saluted the opening of the Bahrain public library, the first of its kind in the Old City of Jerusalem (Al-Quds), hailing the Kingdom’s unwavering support to the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights.
He commended the RCO efforts, led by board of trustees’ chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa in promoting charity and humanitarian work and reaching out to people in dire need in different countries in the world.
Dr. Al-Sayed conveyed greetings from HM the King and the wise leadership to President Abbas and the Palestinian people, reiterating Bahrain’s support to the Palestinian cause.
Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain Taha Mohammed Abdel Qader also hailed HM the King’s efforts, commending Bahrain’s constant support to the Palestinian cause and contribution to promoting cultural, health, educational, developmental and humanitarian projects.
