Al Azhar Al Sharif strongly denounced Monday's terrorist blasts that hit Medina, Qatif and Jeddah, leaving four security personnel dead and four others injured.
In a statement on Tuesday, Al Azhar reiterated the sanctity of the bloodshed of innocent people and the holy sites, particularly the Prophet's Mosque in Medina.
Al Azhar reaffirmed its support for Saudi Arabia in combating terrorism, urging all world countries and regional and international organizations to stand side-by-side to uproot terrorism.
Al Azhar also offered deep condolences to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud over the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
In the same context, the Muslim Council of Elders, under Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyib, condemned these terrorist acts in the Kingdom, expressing full support for Saudi Arabia in fighting terrorism.
