Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil el Araby condemned a heinous terrorist attack on a police patrol in Cairo's southern district of Helwan in the early hours of Sunday.
Araby extended sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
He stressed the AL's full solidarity with Egypt and full support for all deterrent measures it takes to maintain its security and safety of its citizens against terrorist acts.
Eight policemen, including an officer, were killed in an armed attack on their vehicle on the Nile Corniche in Cairo's district of Helwan.
