Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar condemned a recent terrorist attack in Belgium, saying terrorism has no religion or borders.
In statements on Tuesday, the minister said that counter-terrorism is a religious duty, calling for unifying international efforts to uproot terrorism.
Mokhtar underlined there is an escalation in terrorist operations in the recent period, citing Friday's failed assassination attempt on former mufti Ali Gomma that aimed at terrorizing scholars and intellectuals.
The minister said next Friday's sermon will focus on the necessity of fighting terrorism, corruption and protecting homeland against their danger.
