Bibliotheca Alexandrina mourned Monday the victims of Cairo’s church bombing.
Nearly 25 people were killed and 49 others wounded when a bomb hit the Boutrosiya Church next to St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo’s Abbasiya district on Sunday.
“Dr Ismail Serageldin, Director of the BA, and the BA staff express their heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and their solidarity with the wounded victims of the terrorist attack on Al Boutroseya Church in Abbassia, Cairo,” the library posted on its website earlier on Monday.
“The BA administration has declared three days of mourning, and all BA activities will be suspended during this period.
“God save Egypt,” it concluded.
