Culture Minister Helmy el Namnam condemned on Sunday the terror attack that targeted El Boutroseya Coptic Orthodox Church Sunday morning.
In statements, the minister asserted that the terrorists groups will not succeed in threatening the society’s peaceful coexistence.
Those criminals do not belong to Islam or nationalism, Namnam said, adding that this terror attack is against all values of humanity and morals.
He also said that confronting these terrorist groups requires uniting Egyptians as a national duty.
Meanwhile, the minister offered his condolences to the Egyptian people and the victims’ families.
A total of 25 people were killed, while 49 others were injured in an explosion that targeted the Boutrosiya Church which is adjacent to the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abbassiya in Cairo.
