Egypt has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on an AU base in Somalia, which left dozens of Kenyan soldiers dead.
Egypt deeply condoles with the Kenyan government and people for the death of the soldiers, a statement by the Foreign Ministry said Saturday.
Cairo stands by the side of Mogadishu in its efforts to counter terrorism, the statement stressed.
Egypt also supports the noble duty of the AU peacekeeping mission in Somalia and greatly appreciates sacrifices for security and peace in the African country, the statement further said.
Egypt urges the world community to unify efforts to comprehensively fight terrorism, it added.
