Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar gave directions to swiftly identify the criminals in the attack that targeted a police unit in Helwan, killing a police officer and seven non-commissioned officers.
In statements to MENA, a senior security source in the Interior Ministry said a search team was formed to identify the criminals and arrest them.
Abdel Ghaffar mourned the policemen who sacrificed their souls for the safety of the country.
Unidentified men riding a small truck fired at the micro bus carrying the policemen, a security source said in a statement of the ministry
