Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al Jabouri strongly condemned the assassination of head of the Arab bloc in the Kirkuk provincial council Mohammed Khalil al Juburi yesterday.
In press statements, Jabouri said that Kirkuk province lost one of its figures, who was known for his national stances.
He also said that repeated assassinations of national figures in Kirkuk province requires firm stance to reveal the circumstances surrounding these acts.
Juburi, and his wife were travelling in a car in central Kirkuk, situated 236 kilometers (147 miles) north of the capital, Baghdad, on Tuesday when gunmen sprayed his car with bullets, killing him on the spot and wounding his spouse.
