His Majesty King Abdullah II Saturday sent condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the crash of a FlyDubai passenger plane in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don that took many lives.
The Boeing 737-800 passenger jet, operated by the FlyDubai airline, crashed at the airport while attempting to land in the southern Russian city early in the day.
According to Russian officials, all 62 people on board, 55 passengers and seven crew members, were killed when the plane plunged to the ground and burst into flames.
In a cable to the Russian president, the King expressed his profound sorrow over the tragic incident.
