The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a market in Parachinar city, the capital of Pakistani Kurramtribal district on the Afghan border, killing and wounding dozens of people, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.
In a statement to SPA, OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed al-Othaimeen described the attack as a criminal act that targeted innocent civilians and contravenes all human values and principles.
He reiterated OIC's position that condemns violence and terrorism in all their forms and manifestations, whatever their motives and causes.
The secretary general expressed his sincere condolences to the government, people of Pakistan and the families of the victims who were killed by this evil crime.
He expressed the solidarity of OIC with Pakistan in its endeavors to combat extremism and terrorism, calling on the authorities to identify and bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.
