Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani on Sunday strongly condemned the recent suicide bomb attack on a bus in Kabul carrying journalists of Tolo News of Afghanistan which killed all seven journalists travelling in the bus.
In a statement, Madani offered his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, Government and people of Afghanistan.
Madani recalled OIC's press release issued on 14 October 2015 expressing its concern at the statements through which news channels and journalists in Afghanistan were specifically identified as potential targets.
The Secretary General reiterated the firm stance of the OIC against all forms of terrorism and extremism.
He called upon all parties to the conflict to respect the professional requirements of journalists and to protect them.
