UN envoy to Libya Martin Kobler condemned the militia's attack on the eastern Libyan city of Ajdabia, calling on the presidential council and the House of Representatives leadership to quickly work together to advance political process.
Libyan Army General Command Spokesman Brigadier General Ahmed Al Mesmari said a number of militants equipped with more than 50 armored vehicles and tanks launched an attack on Ajdabiya city at dawn Saturday.
Responding to Saturday’s attack on the industrial zone in Ajdabiya by militants from the “Benghazi Defence Brigades”, the Presidency Council in Tripoli has condemned it while the House of Representatives (HoR) in Tobruk has declared a state of emergency, putting the entire area from Tobruk to Ben Jawad under military control.
