Lebanese high-profile artist Elias Al Rahbani revealed that President Michal Aoun honored him providing him with the Order of Cedar during an event organized by Sagesse University.
He expressed, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, his appreciation to the initiative adopted by the Lebanese president, saying, “I thank his excellency. I express support for my country which is the source of civilization and creation. I believe that we could overcome any challenges, if the creators received formal appreciation from the officials of the country.”
He added, “Music is my policy. It is the strongest policy that can unify the different people not divide them. I can express myself through these melodies which I planted in my country, while harvested in the whole world. I seriously appreciate the initiative adopted by Lebanon’s president who is keen to honor the creators since his ascent to the power.”
