Abdel-Rahman Abnoudi Cairo – Shaymaa mekawi The Egyptian TV presenter Nehal Kamal has revealed to Arabstoday that her husband, the acclaimed poet Abdel-Rahman Abnoudi is going through the \"strongest ordeal of his life\" after being infected with leprosy (a serious skin disease that leads to bone deterioration). Treatment requires bed-rest and isolation so that it does not infect his family. Kamal said: \"I do not want to talk a lot but my daughters and I are close to a psychological breakdown. \" Abnoudi two years ago had a malignant tumor in his ear and was treated abroad, after which he resumed writing poetry and scripts. His last poem was \"Al-Midan\" (The Square) and the last script he wrote was for the series \"Wadi El-Molouk\" (Valley of the Kings).
