The member of the Egyptian Society of Allergy and Immunology, Dr. Magdy Badran told Arabs Today that parsley raises immunity and protects against allergies and cancer.
"Parsley is an integrated healthy diet, rich in vitamins, minerals, protein, and 18 important amino acids to help humans synthesize 50,000 proteins to replenish damaged cells and dietary fiber, and to protect from many diseases," Badran said.
"Parsley is a natural beauty material that preserves the freshness of the skin, hair and eyes. Parsley is rich in vitamin A, B, B 2, B3, B6, C, and K," he added.
Badran said that these vitamins have the ability to fight cancers such as cervical cancer, esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, bowel cancer, lung cancer, throat cancer, neck cancer, and oral cancer.
He added that it has recently been shown that people with vitamin C deficiency are 12% more likely to develop asthma.
For vitamin K, Badran said that it prevents osteoporosis, strengthens bones and increases its density, acts as natural glue that sticks calcium tightly in the skeleton, and slows lung cancer and leukemia Liver cancer, and Alzheimer's disease.
Parsley contains calcium, potassium, sodium, iron, phosphorus, chloride, zinc, selenium, sulfur, iodine, the specialist said.
The Egyptian doctor added that there are many other benefits of parsley including the extension of smooth muscles, relieves the pain of renal colic, a tonic for the blood. Parsley limits the clots, maintaining the balance of the platelets, and protects against anemia.
"It also reduces glucose levels within cancer cells by reducing glucose input, prevents the change of the structure of gels surrounding cancer cells, prevents the progression of cancer cells, and prevents the adhesion of molecules to cells that facilitate cancer cells spread to adjacent cells," Badran stated.
