Inauguration ceremony at al-Muasaa university hospital Damascus - Arab Today Minister of Higher Education Mohammad Yahya Mualaa inaugurated the section of plastic surgery and burns at al-Muasaa university hospital in Damascus on Wednesday. It is now equipped with up-to-date medical sets and specialised cadres in cooperation with the World Health Organisation (who). During the inauguration ceremony in the presence of WHO resident representative in Syria, Elizabeth Huff, the minister said that the new section will contribute to making important improvements and differences in the life of the patients to restore the natural function of their organs which were ruined. For her part, Huff said that during the next stage, additional shipments of medicines, among them for treating burns, will be available in Syria, sent by the WHO with $ 22 million cost. She added that the Syrian educational hospitals will be supplied with medicines valued between 4 to 5 million USD. Source: SANA
