King Fahd University\'s campus is in Dhahran London - Arabstoday Saudi Arabia\'s King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) has been ranked 94th on a list of the 100 top universities established less than 50 years ago. The ranking was published in the Higher Education Supplement of Britain\'s The Times newspaper. KFUPM and an Egyptian university were the only two Arab universities on the list, a local newspaper reported. Other universities in Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Brazil and Malaysia made the list along with the majority of Western universities. Dr Omar Suwailem, dean of the engineering department at KFUPM, told Arab News: \"The university aims to achieve the highest standards of scientific quality. \"Our main goal is to improve outputs of graduates, to be highly skilled and competitive leaders,\" he added. The country\'s King Abdul Aziz University has received similar international praise in the past. In 2012-2013, it was mentioned among top international universities in a list compiled by Thomson Reuters and The Times newspaper.
