Nile river Luxor - Mohamed el-Edeisy The oil spill in the Nile has been reduced between Luxor and Aswan, officials said. Governor Dr Ezzat Saad said a specialised team is currently working on cleaning the river. Officials said drinking water in Luxor was not affected by the crisis and water wasn’t cut. The oil spill reached Luxor borders to Qena where the governorate took all needed measures to control the spillage. Dr Saad raised the emergency state among environmental and civil defence authorities.
