The Algerian radio and the UNICEF office in Algiers launch the National Media Award 2014 which rewards the best products published between 20 July and 15 October 2014, dealing with the situation of children in Algeria and challenges they face, according to a joint statement released Wednesday.
The 2014 edition is marked by the integration of a new category, namely the poster, which will reward the best poster in connection with the theme and will be printed and widely distributed countrywide.
The theme for National Media Award 2014 is the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child: Achievements and Challenges, which coincides with 20 November.
This date represents an opportunity to highlight the achievements in terms of the rights of the child, the same source added.
The products under the form of a story, essay, editorial, documentary, testimonies or a series of stories on one subject should be sent to the office of UNICEF Algeria before October 15, the statement said.
