Hungary and Finland played out a goalless draw to wrap up their unsuccessful Euro 2012 qualifying campaigns. Although Hungary began the night knowing they could still draw level on points with second-placed Sweden, an inferior head-to-head record made this a dead rubber match. And it felt like it with chances at a premium in a poor first half. Tamas Priskin\'s shot was parried by Otto Fredrikson in the eighth minute before Finland went on the attack, with Alexander Ring\'s shot from the edge of the area held by Gabor Kiraly while Tim Sparv\'s effort went wide. Hungary were offering little threat at the other end, wasting the chances they had as Gyorgy Sandor headed over and Priskin fired wide. Tamas Hajnal then had a tame effort held by Fredrikson, while Finland\'s Niklas Moisander headed wide to end the first half. Things barely improved in the second half, with Hungary continuing to fluff their lines in front of goal. Vladimir Koman shot wide in the 54th minute before Zsolt Koman\'s header went over from a good position. Eremenko fired over for Finland before Sparv at least brought the goalkeeper into action, with Kiraly tipping his shot over the bar. And it was the Hungary stopper who would finish as the busier of the two goalkeepers, with Finland making a late push as Mika Vayrynen, Kasper Hamalainen and Timo Furuholm all had late chances without finding a way to break the deadlock.
