Lokomotiv Moscow climbed up to third spot in the Russian Premier League after snatching a late 2-1 win over Spartak Nalchik and also seeing local rivals Dinamo Moscow slump to a 2-0 defeat against Rubin Kazan. Lokomotiv trailed to a 35th-minute goal from Danil Gridnev against second-bottom Nalchik but they turned things around after the break, with Dennis Glushakov levelling up the scores in the 63rd minute before substitute Jan Durica snatched an 87th-minute winner. Durica had only been on the pitch 60 seconds after replacing Brazilian Maicon. The victory lifted Lokomotiv into third, a position Dinamo had occupied at the start of the day but they dropped down to fourth after slumping to defeat at home to Rubin. Both goals came in a 10-minute spell in the second half, with Alexander Ryazantsev putting Rubin ahead just before the hour mark and Bebras Natkho adding a second soon after. With two rounds of the season left, Lokomotiv, Dinamo and Rubin are all assured of a top-eight finish in the standings and a place in the championship play-off. The remaining eight teams will play in the relegation play-off.
