Shanghai defeated Tianjin 3-0 in the 5th round of the Chinese Women's Super League (CWSL) on Sunday, maintaining the second place on the table after a three-game winning streak.
Miu Siwen opened the scoring in the 12 minute for the visiting team Shanghai, and Tianjin found no chance to make an equalizer in the first half. The defending champions enlarged the leading edge to 3-0 after Zhang Jieli's shot and Liu Jun's penalty in the second half.
The match between Changchun and Shandong attracted the attention of Chinese women soccer team head coach Bruno Bini. Changchun beat Shandong 2-0 as Liu Huiting and Mei Xue scored one goal apiece in each half for the home team.
Beijing beat Chinese Army 2-1 to achieve the first victory in 2016 season, while Chinese Army suffered five losses so far.
The leading team Dalian beat Jiangsu 1-0 as Wang Shuang scored the only goal in the 16th minute. Four victories and one tie helped Dalian to maintain the top place in the table.
The sixth round will take place next Sunday.
