Everton team captain Phil Jagielka has announced that his team wants to win the Merseyside derby match against Liverpool for injured teammate Seamus Coleman.
Jagielka says that the Irish player Coleman’s long-term fracture will be a further push to Everton’ team to beat Liverpool next Saturday, April 1.
Coleman is suffering a destabilizing injury caused by Neil Taylor on March 24 during World Qualifier match between Wales and the Republic of Ireland.
“There are two big games coming up (Liverpool and Manchester United), Seamus wants us to to play well and get some good results,“ said Jagielka.
“We’re thinking about him, and on Saturday and Tuesday matches, I’m sure he’ll have the TV on and cheers us up,” he added.
Everton is classified 7th in the English Premier League with 50 points, six points behind the fourth-placed team Liverpool.
