Asian volleyball champions and current holders of Qatar Volleyball Association Cup (QVBA Cup), made a houdini-esque escape Friday to beat Al Sadd 3-2. Al Araby went down 2-0 and was one round away from losing the game, they lost 21-25 and 18-25 and the game seemed to be over. The champions however rallied and won three consecutive rounds 26-24, 25-16 and 16-14 to win the game. Al Sadd will meet tomorrow with Al Jaish while Al Araby will play Al Wakra tomorrow as well.
