Acting Clubs Affairs Director at the General Organization for Youth and Sports Ahmad Hamad Al Dossari witnessed part of the Muharraq Club volleyball training session before heading for a training camp in Istanbul. The camp is part of the team preparations for the 32nd GCC Clubs Volleyball Championship, due to take place in Al Ain, in the UAE from March 23 to 29. Muharraq, the defending champions who represent Bahrain alongside compatriots Al Nasser Club, will play in Group ‘B’, which consists of Kazma of Kuwait, Al Shabab of the UAE and Al Arabi of Qatar. During his visit, Al Dossari met the administrative and technical teams as well as the players of Muharraq Club and conveyed the greetings of Goys president Hisham Mohammed Al Jowder and his best wishes for them. Al Dossary stressed the importance of this game for Muharraq and urged them to pull off another achievement and win this prestigious event for a record 11 times. He emphasized the significant of the training camp in Turkey, which should improve the level of readiness of the players ahead of the upcoming regional championship. Al Dossari said the General Organization for Youth and Sports is keen to support the Bahraini representatives in this major volleyball tournament, as they hold the aspirations and hopes of their supporters to win the cup again this year.
